Blaykes birth story...

On September 7th I told Weston he shouldn't go to work because I was gonna have the baby that day, I was joking mostly. I did feel sorta weird but I just boiled it down to braxton hicks. Then all during the day I was having serious "braxton hicks" kind of on a regular basis, but they were still pretty far apart. So I waited. Then they got closer and a little more intense so I called West & told him he should probably head home to avoid traffic. By the time he got home they were about 3-4 mins apart and starting to really hurt, but I didn't want to go to the hospital too soon so we waited about an hour more and then headed to the hospital @ about 6:30. I was hoping when they checked me I would be at at least a 4 so they wouldn't send me home. To my surprise I was at a 7 1/2-8! So then I was nervous there wouldn't be time for an epidural...but there was. And it sucked going in but it was marvelous afterwards!!! Things started slowing down so they gave me some pitocin and then the contractions really started coming and coming strong! At about 11:20ish I started pushing and @ 11:39...

Blayke Marie Dunn was born!!!

She was 7.9 lbs, 20 1/2in, beautiful with a full head of brunette hair!

I love my sweet girl. I wasn't sure how I would feel. I knew I would love her but I wasn't sure if it would feel the same as with Paisley or totally different??? ...as soon as they placed her on my chest, I cried of course because I'm a baby, but I was so overwhelmed with love for her just like I was with Pais. She has such a sweet face and spirit. She reminds me a lot of Paisley but she definitely is her own little person.

She adds so much to our family already! I can't imagine my life without her. We're a family of four now! crazy. We're like a legit family now. (: Paisley loves her sister so much. She always wants to hold "it" and kisses her all the time. She calls her Bake and it's really cute. I sure do LOVE my gals.

On a side note...as soon as they put Blayke on my chest, there was a lot of blood down there. Like a lot. I looked over @ weston and he was leaning over the rail. I asked him if he was ok? and he said he was fine. and then BAM his eyes rolled back and he fell back smack onto the ground hitting his head on the table along the way! Totally freaked me out! SO the nurses ran over and put his legs up on a chair and made him lay on the ground for awhile. He was pretty embarrassed. He probably wouldn't like the fact that I'm writing this where everyone can read it(: But it was crazy and its really funny now. I like to mess with him that he stole my moment but really I just felt bad for him.
So cliche!

Love you Blaykey!

you were already dilated to almost an 8 and you only 20 minutes of pushing??!! that's incredible! I also thought it was so awesome when I had Kayden how much I could love a second baby, but the love just grows and grows. congrats you guys! and good luck adjusting to 2!

I really hope that when I have this baby it is as smooth sailing as both of your experiences!! Just 20 minutes of pushing would be marvelous. :) So happy for you guys!! Can't wait to see you in a couple months and meet Blayke!

Such a cutie, I guess I'm a little offended that her middle name isn't sharsti seeing how we share a birthday. . . I'll just have to get over it hahaha
