2013 was a good year.
Weston:Has been working hard at school. He has a 3.5! It's weird to think that in a year he will graduate with a Mechanical Engineer degree. It will be nice to be done. Not school since he wants to go to law school but done with this chapter of our lives. Done with Rexburg. And that much closer to being done with school and being super poor (hopefully) (: He's also gotten really into cycling. He did a lot of races and placed first at one. A bike shop here in IF talked about sponsoring him this coming season!!! Pretty awesome. I'm proud of him for trying something new and working so hard at it! He also has been a great husband and dad too! In August he did a man-week in UT with a group of his best friends growing up. They went to Moab and seemed to have a good time.
Me:Well I did my first 10k. I had never ran more then maybe 2 miles in my life so I was pretty proud of myself! I really liked it but didn't keep the running up. So now I have to start from scratch...but I want to do a couple races this coming summer so I started my training this week! I did a little with photography and it was fun. My favorite was photographing my friends birth story. It was seriously amazing to see a little spirit come into this world! I reached my pre-prego weight so that's nice! Only took me a year (: Oh ya probably one of our most awesome adventures this year...me and West went to Hawaii...kidless!!! It was so fun! I spent my 26th b-day in Hawaii. Not bad. We also spent all of August in AZ with my parents which was really nice and visited WA in the spring. We just got back from Christmas in TX with all of my family which was so awesome to be with everyone! So I guess we did a lot of traveling this year! We also got a cat and her name is Olive.
P:This year was a big one for pickles. She turned three this year!!! She started pre-school and did awesome(: She stopped wearing pull-ups to bed and hasn't had an accident yet! Cross fingers. She started dance for the first time and loves it! She has her first dance recital this month! She's learning so many things. She can count to ten, sometimes more and is working on her letters and sounds. She sometimes plays with Blayke and gives her hugs on her own. Her hair is getting long and she looks like a big girl...it makes me excited and sad all at once.
B: Blaykey-boo turned The Big ONE this year! Big year for her too...she learned to walk!!! She took her first step in AZ when we were at my parents when she was 11 months old. She says a lot of words (most only understandable to me and West) and she signs a few words too! She cracks me up...she's a sweetheart and a stinker all rolled into one. She definitely lets you know how she's feeling! Her knew thing is to yell MOM MOM MOOOOOM at me. So thats been fun. She loves Weston and is more of a daddy's girl then P ever was.
It was an awesome year! Love my family and watching my girls grow and learn. I feel so blessed I can be a stay-at-home mom and be with my girls. I truly feel blessed. I know not everyone can or wants to but I can't imagine not being with them everyday even though it can be tiring! 2013 was good to us but I'm excited for this coming year!
Heres to 2014..
Family goals: FHE every monday!!!
My personal goals: I want this year to be the year of obtaining good health and spiritual habits!!! I'm gonna work on getting my family to eat healthier and I'm going to try to get in the habit of working out at least 4 times a week! I also need to be better at going to the temple at least once a month so i'm going to really try and make that happen!
Paisley: Set a schedule for her and try to stick to it...including a learning time when we can practice all the things she's learning.
Blayke: No more bottle! (: Practicing her words and signing together.
That's it! Not too crazy. So excited and feeling optimistic about this year!!!
